Installing Lookeen Desktop takes just a few steps and usually lasts less than a minute – the following description will guide you (system requirements). For customers who own a Lookeen Desktop license for version 12 or older: Lookeen 2024 (version 14) is a paid upgrade. As a Lookeen customer, you receive a discount for the upgrade here. If you wish to test the Lookeen Server version for free, please contact us.
Installation

Save and run the file “Lookeen.exe”
After downloading, start the Lookeen.exe file by double-clicking it.

Confirm the Windows security prompt
Press the “Yes” button in the dialog that appears to open the self-extracting file.

Install Lookeen on your PC system
The next steps will guide you through the installation wizard. If you want to integrate Outlook®, please select the corresponding option in the wizard. With Lookeen, you can then search through all your Outlook data.

Done
You can start using Lookeen while it is still indexing. You can open Lookeen by pressing the CTRL key twice and customize it according to your preferences. If you use Outlook, you can also launch the program through Outlook. For the best search results, please wait for the indexing to complete.

Business Edition
With the Business Edition, you can perform an unattended installation and receive a detailed GPO guide (with more than 60 setup commands as well as ADM files for 32- and 64-bit systems). This allows you to centrally manage license key distribution or the setup of Lookeen options during rollout.
Premium Edition
The Premium Edition includes all the features of the Business Edition (e.g., group policies) and additionally offers the option to add external indexes to your own index. Only the Premium Edition as client software allows you to use the paid Lookeen Server.
